mom

Mersea, Danni Malone sent you a hug.

My heart breaks to hear this news. Your mom seemed like a very sweet lady, who toughed out some incredibly hard treatment. Her love for her family was very clear, and you could tell that it was that love that kept her going. I’m so sorry she lost her battle, and so sorry that you lost your mom way too soon. Please give our condolences to your entire family. Ann

I wanted to share this with you…I wrote a post about the small but special moments in life, asked people to share theirs, and your mom said this: “Watching my sister make potao salad like our mother used to..It was so good and made me feel like a part of my mother was here with us”. I thought that was very sweet.

I am so sorry for your loss….. May god bless her soul. R.I.P.

XOXO

Mathew I am so sorry to read this. I have tears in my eyes. Thank you for letting us know. I have set up a memorial section on her blog so others can light a candle. Thinking of you and your family.

Mathew, so sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. My prayers are with you and your family. May Joanne rest peacefully.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your mother is at peace, and will always be watching over you. I’m thinking of you and your family. We are all here if you would like to talk.

Thank you for your post, Matthew. This must have been difficult for you to write. Your mom will be missed here. Please stay in touch and let us know how you’re doing. You’re welcome to post any time you want—on a bad day or a good day. We were your mom’s friends and we care about you too.

I am so sorry. You have my deepest sympathy. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I’m so sorry Mathew. May your mom RIP. I just lost my father in October, its very hard. Take care of yourself and remember what your mom would want. That’s what keeps me going. I know my father would want me to be happy and live a good life.

Condolences to you Mathew and to the entire family. Though I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing your mother, there’s no doubt she was well loved and admired.
No matter how old one is, loosing your mother is so difficult. And I think you have been extraordinarily generous for taking the time to share your kind thoughts here.
You are always, always welcome to come here anytime you want, and share what ever you want. You’ll find open arms and unconditional support.

Hi Matthew;

I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I did not know her very well, but I just know she put up the good fight. I am so happy about her grandchild!

Thank you for writing this, and wish you and your family Peace, and Strength during this tough time.

By the way this is a great place to share your grief, as your Mom said, it is a great place for support!

All my Love
Barb

Mathew, I did not get to know your mom, but I know that she had to be a warrior. It hurts my heart to hear that your mom had to go through so much pain. I hope, that even though I did not get to know her, that you will accept my condolences, and to know that her “venting” was also a way of helping others deal with their fight against the “C.”

Love, Peace and contentment to you and family.

Tired

Had second treatment of the new chemo. Just had my pump off today. Hands and legs very tingly
Very sensitive to cold.. Picked up a book and the pain in my hand was so bad it brought me tears. That hasnt happened before. My nurse said it was neuropathy. I have it in my hands and feet
Food has been an issue for me. I just can’t seem to eat. No appetite at all. So far since June I’ve lost 50 pounds. With this chemo i cant drink or touch anything cold. Finally have an appointment at Dana Farber in. Boston for consultation on a clinical trial at the end of December . So hopefully something will happen with this.
Hope everyone is doing ok. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you
Oh and the most important part of this week is that our son became a daddy! Aiden Michael was born 12/3/2011 7 lbs 19 inches .. And what a beautiful baby…

Rainy threw a punch at your cancer.

Congratulations on becoming a grandmother! We have two new babies coming in our family, and it’s wonderful to have something positive to think about for a change. Are you taking glut amine for the neuropathy? I had a lot of trouble with that as well and taking glutamine powder really helped. It’s standard protocol for many of the chemo patients where I go. You’ve really been through so much, Joanne, more than anybody should have to go through. I really hope they can find a trial that will finally give you a break from this horrible stuff. Hugs and strength to you-Ann

Congratulations on your new little grandchild! Good luck at the clinic. I hope this will be of a great help to you
Merry
Christmas

Let’s see that grandbaby!

So sorry to read about the neuropathy. I agree with Ann, there must be something they can do to help with that!

A big hug

Congrats Grandma! Hang in there and remember the side effects will go away….

Congrats on the new grandbaby! Good luck with the trial, I hope and pray the can fit you into an ongoing study with meds that won’t cause you so much discomfort. Stay strong.
Charlie

Thank you everyone It’s one day one step and one breath at a time

Congratulations on becoming a grandmother Joanne. I will be praying that you get better soon and that the clinic can help you out with the neuropathy.

Happy Birthday Joanne! I hope this one is very special! You are so special to all of us!

Joanne, I hope your day today was very special even though you are not all perfect yet!

A big hug!

You have so been on my mind. Please let us know how you are doing. Sending love!
