Liver Cancer Symptoms:

Very tired and then started having pain in my right shoulder and neck
Then the pain began in my upper chest ares, Alomst thought I was having a heart attact

Chemotherapy Description, Dates & Side Effects:

First treatment was June 8th 7 hours between the other meds olus the chemo..Cisplatin and Gemzar.. Felt ok the day after but then started feeling very sick, achy, headache, ringing in ears, coulnt eat, weak, dizzy,tired,shaky all over I only felt well enough to go to the doctor on the 7th to have my blood drawn..saw dr and he said he would up my steroids next time and that should help
second treatment was on the 8th, Just the gemzar.. Really tired and achy. Dizzy and weak. Had my shot of Lewnasta on Monday.
Still fell tired and bone pain

hello….my name is mathew and i know some of you talked to joanne (cotemomma) she was my mother and im very sad to say she lost her battle with cancer on friday jan. 6th 2012 her family surrounded her with love and peace as we helped her to a better world she was strong and a proud women…even after being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer she was still strong and proud she told me about this blog and how it helped her so much knowing theres others out there just like her…thank you all who helped her vent and talk about this terrible disease she is and always will be my hero

My heart breaks to hear this news. Your mom seemed like a very sweet lady, who toughed out some incredibly hard treatment. Her love for her family was very clear, and you could tell that it was that love that kept her going. I’m so sorry she lost her battle, and so sorry that you lost your mom way too soon. Please give our condolences to your entire family. Ann

I wanted to share this with you…I wrote a post about the small but special moments in life, asked people to share theirs, and your mom said this: “Watching my sister make potao salad like our mother used to..It was so good and made me feel like a part of my mother was here with us”. I thought that was very sweet.

I’m so sorry Mathew. May your mom RIP. I just lost my father in October, its very hard. Take care of yourself and remember what your mom would want. That’s what keeps me going. I know my father would want me to be happy and live a good life.

Mathew, I did not get to know your mom, but I know that she had to be a warrior. It hurts my heart to hear that your mom had to go through so much pain. I hope, that even though I did not get to know her, that you will accept my condolences, and to know that her “venting” was also a way of helping others deal with their fight against the “C.”
